Best Cozy Video Games To Play On A Cozy Friday Night

Gaming is one of the best hobbies for introverts. Right off the bat, it is okay to play any game that you want. Gaming nowadays has become a chore. Most of us are burnt out of live service games and some single-player games have a hard time keeping players glued to the screen, unlike old games like Bioshock, Dishonored, or Max Payne.

One can still play some wholesome, well-written, and beautiful games if you don’t want to succumb to the competitive pressure of multiplayer games. Let’s look at the best cozy video games that introverts will love.

Best Cozy Video Games To Play On A Friday Night Home

These are games that mainly simulate a feeling of comfort. Most of these games have a simple plotline with a comforting score and fun gameplay. With the exception of Life Is Strange, all of these games are cozy and fun to play.

Haven

Haven released in 2020 to a positive reception by the fans. Aside from being an indie game, it effortlessly portrays two lovers in an ideal environment. Yu and Kay are a couple who have escaped from their home planet and have found a haven among an uninhabited planet.

The gameplay includes gliding through vast open spaces of the planet, spending time with each other in the spaceship making food, having conversations and more. There is turn based strategic combat as well when you encounter enemies.

It is the perfect game for couples as one can play co-op controlling either Yu or Kay. The game has multiple endings as well depending on your choices. It might not be the perfect thing to play for single people but the wholesome interactions between the couple begin you less as the story goes on.

Any Persona Game

Persona 3 Reload

Persona is a relatively old franchise but the developers still make it a point to not capitalize off their reputation and put their all in their titles. Any Persona game is ideal for an introvert since you can go out and do things as the main character that most introverts hesitate to do in real life.

Not to mention that it feels nice to be surrounded by so many people you can call friends. The choice is in your hands to do whatever you wish to as the protagonists. From working part time jobs to going on dates with your friends and even entering into relationships (yes, plural); the Persona games are the perfect thing for introverts with social anxiety.

Aside from various ways to spend your day, Persona games have brilliant turn based combat which you can participate in with the help of the friends you make on your journey. This makes the game ideal for a person who is afraid of opening themselves up but wants to experience making deep bonds anyways. For beginners, I recommend starting out with Persona 3 Reload.

Coffee Talk: Episodes 1 And 2

Coffee Talk slows down the daily hustle and bustle and drops you right in the middle of a coffee shop where strangers meet and friendships are formed. Both games are chronological as you play as a barista and owner of a coffee shop that opens during the night time.

Most introverts are night owls so this concept is a dream come true. As the owner, you are in charge of greeting customers, carrying conversations and of course, making cold or hot brews depending upon their likeliness.

Coffee Talk is one of the best video games to play and the art is beautiful. There is no extravagant storyline or brilliant state of the art graphical quality. Well written conversations, peaceful and lo-fi beats, vibrant characters and the ability to make the player feel make it a game that every introvert must play.

Stardew Valley

For introverts who spend TOO much time on life sims, Stardew Valley is the choice to go with. Players take control of a character who has inherited a farm land from their deceased grandfather and what follows is a peaceful life filled with the joy of growing crops, getting married and having children. There is always a pressure in most games of someone dying or loss, there is none here; just peace and sustenance.

Stardew Valley is the perfect game to play if you want consistency. It also gives players an opportunity to play with other gamers since it has Co-Op modes.

The reason why Stardew Valley has enjoyed tremendous success is because the developer, ConcernedApe is one single person who put his heart and sole into the game, giving it time and love to become one of the best games of all time and a treat to play.

Life Is Strange

Life is Strange is a franchise made for the outsiders, the introverts and the people who don’t fit in. The game revolves around Maxine Caulfield, an introverted girl who has the powers to rewind time and go back to the past.

This game is one of the best when it comes to introspecting how introverts feel every single day and how their life is. Although it does have quite a dark storyline, you will enjoy the journey Max goes through. In addition to that, the story is quite intriguing and the friendship of Maxine and Chloe is worth checking out.

Every choice of yours matters in this game so you better think properly before you respond to every character. Some wrong choices might mess up the ending. The ending might not be for everyone but it is a journey worth partaking in. Undoubtedly one of the best video games to play if you want a deep dive into the life of an introverted girl.
